Coping with Corona

We are experiencing such a strange experience in life as we are all staying at home avoiding the effects of the Covid-19. Schools are closed, people have lost jobs and deaths are rampant.

How are we coping? Calling or texting family and definitely posting more on facebook, fer-sher! Binging on Netflix, or starting a new exercise routine, anyone?

We are creating videos and a website to start online schooling after Spring Break! We have been calling parents to stay in touch, yet so many parents are dealing with their own anxiety.

I too feel the same way. At least most of the school year, I’ve always looked forward to this time of year, but not being able to escape to another place is making me a little anxious.

My high school children have been inundated with messages from teachers assigning work for extra credit, yet it looks like the school year is done. I really feel for all the graduates missing high school or college ceremonies! They will never forget 2020! We are thrown into this tumultuous situation not knowing who is even thinking about education when death is a looming statistic.

I have to admit, I’m wrestling with joy, doubt, anxiety and frustration. Time is on my side! It would be a great time to do something creative, exceptional so I can feel good about myself! Just haven’t decided yet, so used to feeling the stress of all the daily “to do’s”!

One thing I do Look forward to is nice weather for a long walk on the beach and parents teaching their children, and hopefully gaining a whole new perspective to the educational world!

How are you coping?
